FASTag Annual Pass Scheme Details

FASTag Annual Pass has been launched by India’s Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for private vehicles. This pass will help drivers save time and money while travelling on national highways.

What is the FASTag Annual Pass?

The FASTag Annual Pass is a one-time toll payment plan for private vehicles. Instead of paying toll fees every time you cross a toll plaza, you can pay ₹3,000 once and get up to 200 toll trips in a year.

So, if you pay ₹3,000 then you can enjoy this pass upto 1-year or 200 toll crossings , whichever is earlier.

Why Was This Scheme Introduced?

The government wants to:

• Promote Tourism as cost of tolls will be significantly reduced after this pass

Example to Understand

Let’s say you travel Delhi to Jaipur every weekend (around 5 tolls each way). That’s 10 tolls per weekend.

• In one month: 10 × 4 = 40 tolls
• In 5 months: 40 × 5 = 200 tolls

Now, if you pay ₹100 per toll normally, you’ll spend ₹20,000 in 5 months.

But with the FASTag Annual Pass, you only pay ₹3,000 for the same 200 trips — which will give you massive savings of ₹17,000.

Note- 1 toll crossing is considered as 1 Trip. So if you cross 5 Tolls it will be considered as 5 Trips.
